In 2006 Jason felt a call to full time ministry. He accepted a position as Technical Director at Christ The Rock Community Church in Menasha, WI and moved his family to Kimberly in 2007. His responsibilities included leadership in the areas of audio/visual and youth worship music. Thereafter, Jason accepted a position at Celebration Church in Green Bay were he led music for the Sunday morning and mid-week worship services and helped to plant the Appleton Celebration multi-site. From there God led them to assist with the planting of Jacob’s Well Church in Green Bay where Jason served as Assistant to the Pastor for 4 years with leadership in the areas of church planting, music, technical support, youth, men’s ministries and other ministries. Throughout these years God has been preparing them by shaping and strengthening their character while keeping them living in the Kimberly community. Jason has a bachelor’s degree in communications and has also furthered his education through LAMP Seminary. Jason and Marsha have been approved by the EFCA Church Planting Assessment Team. Jason Steger and his wife Marsha along with their two boys, Jack (14) and Sam (11), currently live in Kimberly, WI. Jason and Marsha have been married for 15 years.
Towards the end of 2013 Jason and Marsha began to sense God leading them into a new season. For over 6 months they prayed for God’s direction and investigated many opportunities. In June of 2014 God began to lay out the vision to plant a church in their own community of Kimberly,WI. Jason and Marsha have experienced the love of Christ in their hearts. Love is the root of their desire to reach out to the people in their community and beyond with the message of the gospel. Over the past eight years, God has developed a deep love in their hearts for Kimberly and the Fox Valley. Through life’s adversities, ministry experiences, prayer and seeking God’s direction, the Stegers are ready and excited to answer God’s call to reach Kimberly and the surrounding areas with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
